1st Day of School

Today was Emma first day of Pre-K and Dale's first day of day care.  Emma was so excited to go and meet new friends.  Dale was just happy that someone was holding him! It seem crazy that this is her last year of preschool.  Happy 2017-2018 school year!

1st Day of School

After a year and half of staying with Daddy she finally went to school!  She walked in and didn't cry.  So far she is loving school.  She loves playing with other kids and Mimi picks her up every day after nap!

Good Bye White Coat

Remember this white coat, well after 4 years of use it was pretty used.  There were ink stains in the pocket, paint on the sleeve (Renown was repainting the hospital), and god only knows what else.  The right pocket was about to fall off and the left sleeve's hem was gone! I will be getting a new white coat when I start my residency.  This new coat will be long signifying that I'm a doctor.  Kristin and I decided to say good bye to the short white coat!

It was amazing how fast they went up in flames!  Good bye white coat we had one hell of a ride together!

Match Day

The day we had been waiting for 4 years finally came.  After several flights, hotel rooms, rental cars, and far more money that I ever wanted to spend for interviews our destiny awaited.  I was so nervous the night before and the day of match.  I knew I had matched for residency but I had no idea where.  It was carnival themed: "The Greatest Match on Earth."  Everyone had their name on a lollipop.  I went and picked mine up and looked at it with Paul.  Here's what it said..........
We are thrilled!! We are going to live some where completely different and Aunt Janiece is only about an hour away!  I don't know why I was nervous everything works out and is meant to be :)

More to come on how Arkansas came to be....stay tuned!!

It's going fast!

How did medical school go so fast?  Notice the ticker on the right.  That's right in less than 8 months I'll be a doctor, that sounds scary!!  Today I applied for residency and bet you are all wondering what I finally decided on.  The wait is over I have decided that I am going into ................................OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY!!

If you know me this decision has been a constant struggle, but when I sat down and thought about what I truly loved it was easy.  So bring on the sleepless nights delivering babies!!   Come March we will know where we are moving for residency.

Passed another board exam!!!

I have officially crossed one more exam off my list. I only have one more test to in medical school. It will be my clinical knowledge board exam. Once it is done the rest of medical school will be so much less stressful. On July 23, 2012 it will all be over!!

Below are the results of my clinic skills test. And this test costs $1500 and had to be taken in Los Angeles. I'm glad I passed that would have been an expensive test to fail!

You know you're a med student when...........

You empty your pockets and there is lube and hemoccult card.

And why does one have these because no one else wants to give rectal exams and it falls on you! I can't wait until I'm the doctor and I can pawn this off on my med student!!

First Day of School

This is for my mom, when she made me take my picture for my first day of school every year. I made Paul do it. He thought I was going to be silly, but I think it's kind of a big deal. This is the first year of school where I have to look like an adult. I am not sitting in classroom where I can look like a slob, and it was a lot of hard to work to get this point. More tests than I care to remember, hours of studying, and board exams. So here's a picture of me on my first day of 3rd year. Do I look like a doctor (or at least half a doctor), because I sure don't feel like it. (Its a little fuzzy since Paul took it with my phone.)
